Hi All.
Well, it's been a long process and an exhausting one at that but I finally found a location for my gym. Thanks to all of you who continually bugged me to do it. I will expect to see you all for 5am workouts - displaying as much enthusiasm for exercise as you did for harassment.
I'll keep you all up to date with this dorky blog which I'm sure you will find riveting (not to mention very, very exciting)
We will be located at 1249 Dell Ave @ Hacienda in Campbell. The building is a 2000 square feet former machine shop and at the moment is completely bare. We have painters coming in this Friday along with some guys with sledge hammers who will knock down an interior wall which will free up some space on the gym floor.
We will be ready to lay the flooring next week (please don't all rush to come and help at once. We don't want to hold up traffic) beginning with the gym floor and then the larger office size area which is set to be a boxing studio.
We are also working with the fabulous -and slightly mysterious- Mr Steve Stoker on a design for a bouldering wall which should look great in this space and climbing will be incorporated into strength training workouts. "Pretty cool!" I hear you say. "That's SO great!" I hear you shriek. I thought so too. That's why I'm doing it.
When she returns from her latest globe trotting adventure, my good friend Anita Schiller Roundy will be hanging her photography in both the reception and workout area and we plan to continually change the art throughout the space. Hopefully this will keep giving you something new to look at that will be better than ABC7 News or the slutty weather girl that is on tv in OTHER gyms. (Yes, we all know what I'm talking about...) We will also be displaying the beautiful handmade silver jewelery of Maria Gonzalez in the reception area in January.
So, that's what's happening. I'll keep you posted and I should have some pics for you soon too.
